Donald Trump and son-in-law Jared Kushner

UPDATE, MAY 18:

I spoke with talkRADIO’s Julia Hartley-Brewer on Monday about President Barack Obama’s criticism of the Trump Administration’s handling of the Coronavirus crisis — “A lot of them aren’t even pretending to be in charge” — providing the essential context of failure to prepare, denials, and attempts to shift blame.

Listen from 19:48 in 0900-0930 Segment

We discuss the medical experts acting as “adults in the room”, even as Trump undermines them.

>I don’t think this is a Democrat v. Republican, left v. right issue. You need the medical experts to step up and not be pushed aside by an Administration looking more at the stock market and Trump’s re-election.

ORIGINAL ENTRY: In our weekly Journey Across Trump-Land, I joined talkRADIO’s Alexis Conran and Gloria De Piero on Saturday to discuss the latest damage from Donald Trump’s disinformation and deceptions over Coronavirus as the US death toll closes on 90,000.

I open with the plea for media not to let Trump seize the headlines with re-election statements undermining the efforts to contain the virus.

I’m ready to stop talking about Trump and talk about more important things. His press conferences are simply disinformation and nonsense, adding nothing of value to what we need to do during the pandemic.

What really matters — such as statements by Dr. [Anthony] Fauci, Dr. [Rick] Bright, and Dr. [Deborah] Birx; what happens on the state level; and this $3 trillion bill passed by the House to help states and unemployed — get crowded out because people are transfixed by the latest mad thing that Trump has said.

We discuss Trump v. the medical advisors, and we look at varying situations with the virus from state to state.

We also preview the effort by Trump and his inner circle, including son-in-law Jared Kushner, to postpone November’s elections if Trump is in political trouble over an ongoing, unnecessary pandemic in the US.
