UPDATE 0652 GMT:
A 16-year-old boy was killed and four people wounded by Russian drone strikes on the city of Chernihiv in northern Ukraine.
Several houses and administrative and educational buildings were damaged.
Six civilians were killed by a gunman in Ukraine’s capital Kyiv on Saturday.
After setting fire to an apartment, Dmytro Vasylchenkov shot dead four people on the street. He took hostages in a supermarket, killing one of them. A woman later passed away from her injuries in a hospital.
Following an unsuccessful 40-minute negotiation, security forces killed the 58-year-old gunman. At least 14 people were wounded, including a 12-year-old boy whose parents were killed. Four hostages were rescued.
The State security service SBU said the mass killing was a “terrorist act”. President Volodymyr Zelensky said the attacker, born in Moscow and a resident of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine, has been prosecuted for criminal offenses.
Investigators from the National Police and the Security Service of Ukraine are now examining all the circumstances of the attack in Kyiv against ordinary civilians.

A local woman said Vasylchenkov was a neighbor who steered clear of other residents.
He didn’t want to communicate with anyone. When I sat outside on the street – he knew me by my face – he would greet me briefly and hurry off to run his errands. He wasn’t close with his neighbours or anyone else.
Lesia Rybzha, 45, said: “I was shocked when I saw photographs of the people who had been killed….I still can’t understand why, on top of [Russians] killing us with airstrikes, people are being killed on the streets as well.”
