I worked with Al Jazeera English to produce a 200-second guide to the US Capitol Attack and the House investigation, just over a year after the Trumpist assault of January 6, 2021.

January 6, 2021 and that attack on the US Capitol is part of the greatest threat to American democracy since the US Civil War. I don’t say that to exaggerate.

The attack took place in the context of a campaign for months to deny and refuse Joe Biden as President and to keep Donald Trump in office, even though he lost the election, and to push aside every element of the US system to accomplish that.
