I joined the Pat Kenny Show on Dublin NewsTalk on Thursday to analyze the Biden-Putin meeting in Geneva.

I focus on how US President Joe Biden established the idea of the “basic rules of the road” in his press conference after the three-hour meeting, saying collaboration from mutual self-interest is possible — but also drawing lines with Vladimir Putin on Russia’s operations, from cyber-attacks and interference in elections to assaults and detention of opponents to the quashing of independent media and NGOs.

Listen to Discussion

Biden took the initiative with that one phrase, “Basic Rules of the Road”. Are you going to adhere to these, President Putin, or are you going to risk your credibility, not just with the United States but with an allied front of Washington and other countries?
