Thoughts on Thursday’s UK General Election — and beyond:

There is a level of lying, of deception, of disinformation which is indecent, and the large majority, almost all of it, is coming from one party and the man who leads that party.

To support those deceptions, they have been willing to turn victims — the mother of a 4-year-old boy on the floor of a hospital, the father of a young man killed in the London Bridge attacks — into culprits.

I’m not here to tell you how to vote. My concern is how, the day after the election, we deal with each other in the biggest crisis for the UK since 1945.
