EA on TVP World: Trump, China, and Ukraine

EA-The Focus Special: The World That Donald Trump Damaged

UPDATE, MAY 22:

I joined Pakistan’s Express 24-7 on Wednesday to explain how Iran continues to exert leverage with its control of the Strait of Hormuz.

Chatting with host Zunaira Azhar, I contrast the Trump Administration’s latest bluster with the realities over renewed military operations: “Talk is cheap. What matters are actions.”

I then review the latest maneuvers over possible talks between the US and Iran, explaining the pressure on the Trump camp from the Gulf States, the global energy market, and domestic concerns.

UPDATE, MAY 21:

EA WorldView correspondent Cormac Smith joined Pakistan TV on Wednesday to evaluate how the Trump Administration continues to flounder over its war on Iran.

Cormac sets the Trump camp’s military, political, and economic problems amid Donald Trump’s lack of success in China and his “catastrophic effect on the world economy”.

He also examines how and why Trump supports far-right movements and “hates the European Union”.

UPDATE, MAY 15:

I joined Times Radio’s Henry Bonsu late Thursday night to answer the question, “How did the Xi-Trump summit in Beijing go?”

You want the honest answer? China played Trump like a fiddle.

Trump was a transactional politician v. a strategic politician in Xi. China grabbed the narrative.

I apply that analysis to issues like Taiwan, technology and AI, trade, and China’s quest for an alternative political and economic system.

ORIGINAL ENTRY, MAY 14: I joined international outlets on Wednesday and Thursday to analyze Donald Trump’s visit to China.

I get Trump’s personal interest for a photo opportunity with Chinese leader Xi Jinping to consider the serious issues including China’s relationship with Taiwan, the US war on Iran, tariffs, and technology and AI.

I set this in the wider context with China pursuing an alternative global political and economic system and, as it benefits from Trump’s chaos and disruption, manipulating the reality TV star by flattering him.

Watch Times Radio

I spoke with Times Radio’s Stig Abell on Thursday morning about the meeting between Xi and Trump, with the Chinese leader taking the initiative to frame the narrative around Taiwan and other issues.

Listen to Dublin NewsTalk

On Wednesday morning I joined Ciara Doherty, using her light-hearted question, “Are Trump and Xi really besties?”, to explain Beijing’s tactics and the possible consequences.

Watch Pakistan TV

I chatted with Sana Maqbool on Pakistan TV to evaluate the Trump visit with relation to China’s approach over the US-Israel Wars on Iran and Lebanon.

China is trying to exploit this display of Trump Administration weakness in creating havoc in Iran and destroying much of the country, but not being able to get regime surrender.
