EA-Irish Times Podcast: Signal and Trump Administration’s Disregard for National Security

I joined Poland’s TVP World on Saturday to analyze how Donald Trump is acting like a Mafia boss in his approach to international relations.

I begin with the reality, not only about Trump but also his senior officials, that there is no longer an alliance between the US and European countries.

I navigate the threats of Trump and his “attack dog” J.D. Vance to Greenland, Canada, and Panama as well as their general shakedown of tariffs.

Donald Trump sees power not as a win-win relationship, working with other countries, but as a win-lose relationship: “I want to take something, and you should give it to me.”

And I summarize how Trump’s posture as wanna-be autocrat and bully is not enhancing American power but sapping it around the world.

It will be interesting if and when Americans will realize that they are the ones who will pay higher prices because of tariffs. They are the ones whose companies and farms will be affected.

Will it winding hurting Vance and Trump politically?
