EA on Times Radio: Kamala Surges and Trump Fumes
UPDATE, AUG 10:
I joined GB News on Saturday for a compare-and-contrast of the Harris and Trump campaigns.
While Donald Trump was caught in another “word salad” of failed insults and ventured to Montana — a peripheral state in the election — Kamala Harris and her Vice Presidential pick Tim Walz appeared before more than 15,000 enthusiastic supporters in the swing state of Arizona.
And while Walz has boosted an already surging campaign, the choice of J.D. Vance — best known for deriding “childless cat ladies” — as Trump’s running mate has been a drag.

UPDATE 1453 GMT:
I joined James Hanson’s on Times Radio’s World in 10 podcast to examine what a Kamala Harris-Tim Walz Administration would mean for American stability and US foreign policy, including for the defense of Ukraine, the Israel-Gaza mass killings, and other areas of the world.
The Biden Administration, even though it supported Ukraine, has been too slow in the past. But at the end of the day, it had a big victory in getting authorization for $60.8 billion in military aid.
If you have a Harris-Walz Presidency, the approach will be where does this aid match up with others in Europe, others beyond Europe, and — most importantly — where does Ukraine stand in its resistance of the Russian invasion.
ORIGINAL ENTRY: Dr. Darren Reid of Coventry University and I joined BBC Radio Ulster’s William Crawley for a 24-minute discussion of the surging Presidential campaign of Kamala Harris, with the naming of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her Vice-Presidential running mate.
We examine why Walz will be an asset, the next steps for the campaign and the upcoming Democratic National Convention, and the flailing, misguided “insult politics” of Donald Trump and J.D. Vance.
Listen to Discussion from 1:06.14
Harris was impressed by Walz’s record of public service, two words that will feature prominently in this campaign, and — contrary to the rather desperate line from J.D. Vance — he’s not a “far left radical”. He’s very much in the center of the party….
If Walz is like your amiable dad, Harris is like your aunt or perhaps the older sister that you wouldn’t mind spending a night out with.
