I joined BBC 5 Live’s Colin Murray on Thursday morning in a 25-minute review of a tumultuous week in the US and the world.

We begin with the latest on the military situation around Russia’s attempt to conquer Ukraine. Then we discuss Biden’s pragmatic approach in his State of the Union, and we conclude with a look at Jackson, who would be the first Black woman to sit on the Supreme Court.

The other guest is Tara Palmeri of Politico.

Listen to Discussion from 1:47.52

Will Putin stop with the capture of cities in southern Ukraine, as well as Russian proxy control of parts of the east? Will he choose a divided Ukraine and negotiations?

Or does Putin want not just part of Ukraine but all of it?

And on the American front, “In a couple of weeks, the Ukraine War has redefined US politics so it does not appear divided on every issue.”
