I spoke with EuroNews on Tuesday about the virtual conversation between US President Joe Biden and China’s leader Xi Jinping, evaluating an advance in contact if not on issues.
It is possible to have economic systems with different bases, which work with others countries in different ways, and still find issues of mutual interest that threatens the planet.
The question is whether each leader can deal with his domestic environment to deal with pressing issues, such as helping out developing countries.
The interview is part of a EuroNews article assessing the summit and the state of US-China relations.

“They both have high vaccination rates, prolific public mask-wearing, tight borders and the same approach to coexisting with COVID-19 without full lockdowns. But the daily coronavirus case numbers in Japan compared with those recorded by neighbour South Korea could not have been more different this week.”
South Korea – which has managed to vaccinate 80% of its population – is also experiencing a record high fatality rate for Covid-19: https://www.business-standard.com/article/current-affairs/s-korea-s-daily-covid-cases-bounce-back-above-4-000-deaths-hit-record-high-121112700142_1.html
Varharan,
Tut tut. You left out the fact that Japan has also “managed to vaccinate 80% of its population”.
From your link: “They both have high vaccination rates, prolific public mask-wearing, tight borders and the same approach to coexisting with COVID-19 without full lockdowns.”
So no anti-vaccination propaganda win for you here.
