As the House select committee on the US Capitol Attack votes to charge Donald Trump’s advisor Steve Bannon with contempt of Congress, over his refusal to testify, I spoke with Monocle 24’s Emma Nelson about the issues, the politics, and the ongoing threat to American democracy.

Donald Trump and his folks will be counting on Americans being tired of all this, that they will want to get beyond January 6 even as Trump plans to run for President again in 2024.
