In the seventh episode of The Last Hurrah podcast on Irish America, former Irish diplomat Ted Smyth (pictured) chats with Liam Kennedy and Scott Lucas about his experiences in the US from the 1970s to the present day.

Smyth reflects on his career during the Carter and Reagan Administrations, including how Irish “soft power” brought White House support of initiatives on Northern Ireland. He discusses his ongoing work on political and economic issues, and the role of Irish America in the election of Joe Biden.
