Joe Biden at a drive-in rally in Atlanta, Georgia, October 27, 2020
I joined Monocle 24’s Andrew Tuck on Wednesday to discuss Democratic candidate Joe Biden’s “time to heal” speech and the final days of campaigning in the US Presidential election.
I look at Biden’s call for responsibility amid the Coronavirus pandemic and issues over climate change, social and racial matters, and equality: “a nation united, a nation strengthened, a nation healed”.
We discuss the differing tactics of the Biden-Harris and Trump-Pence campaigns, and assess the central place of Coronavirus in the election.

This is a long road back. America is a country which has been increasingly divided over decades, and especially since 2017….But we’ve seen millions of Americans say, “We need a better way.”
I can’t guarantee that is going to triumph, but there is hope for a dawn out of a long darkness.
