I spoke with Al Jazeera English’s Kamahl Santamaria on Saturday about Donald Trump’s re-election tactics of “Us v. Enemies”, ignoring Coronavirus and the issues raised by Black Lives Matter marches.

Donald Trump does not know “conciliatory”. He certainly does not know, “I’m sorry.” Donald Trump knows only one way forward, and that’s being aggressive.

I contrast this with Joe Biden’s approach:

The two words he are emphasizing are “leadership” and “responsibility”.

If that theme is carried through in Congressional contests in each of the 50 states, Donald Trump has an uphill battle — unless the pandemic eases, he’s showing neither leadership nor responsiblity.
