Melania Trump is on her first major international solo trip, touring the African countries of Ghana, Malawi, Kenya, and Egypt.
After her first stop in Ghana, I spoke with BBC Radio Scotland on Thursday morning to contrast Melania’s PR with a Trump Administration which has cut aid to African countries by 35%, is promising more reductions, and is pursuing policies — such as withdrawal from climate change accords — likely to cause more damage. Oh, and her husband has called the countries “shitholes”.
