Three years ago today, the Syrian military attacked multiple locations near Damascus with munitions filled with sarin nerve agent. A conservative estimate is that 1,400 people died during the early-morning attacks or afterwards from their injuries.
A child from the area recalls the day with a message to the international community: “Shame all these people died. Nothing remains.”
