The Syrian Network for Human Rights documents the 1,114 vital facilities in Syria targeted by attacks in 2015.

Regime forces attacked 774 facilities, and its Russian ally struck 119 from the start of their bombing campaign on September 30.

Outside the regime-Russian operations, rebels hit 102 facilities and the Islamic State attacked 67. The US-led international coalition struck 15, Kurdish forces 13, and Jabhat al-Nusra 3.

Of the targets, 253 were infrastructure such as industrial plants, farms, transportation systems, and water facilities. This was followed by 243 medical facilities, 216 places of worship, 202 educational facilities, 140 communal facilities, 25 international humanitarian facilities, 23 cultural facilities, 8 refugee camps, and 4 diplomatic missions.

The trend in attacks was upwards, with 144 targets recorded in December.

The report details the December attacks, including the Russian strikes that caused hundreds of deaths and damaged hospitals, mosques, schools, bakeries, markets, and a water treatment plant.
