EA-Silicon Curtain VideoCast: Trump Has Joined Russia In War v. Ukraine

EA on International Media: Selling Out Ukraine — Trump Buys Russia’s Diesel Fuel and Cuts Off Intelligence

UPDATE, OCT 26:

In a 40-minute deep dive, EA’s Cormac Smith chats with Ukraine’s UATV about Donald Trump’s alliance with the Kremlin and its invasion.

Cormac considers Russia’s attacks defying an “energy ceasefire” even as Trump undermines US sanctions on Moscow. He looks at the Kremlin’s proposal of a summit of Vladimir Putin, Trump, and China’s Xi Jinping.

He considers what the UK and Europe must do to continue support of Ukraine’s defense, and how that is affected by Trump’s position.

UPDATE, OCT 21:

I spoke again with Ukrainian journalist Daniel Tkiie on Monday about the extent of the betrayal of Ukraine by Donald Trump, as he seeks political and economic deals with Vladimir Putin, and whether it can be stopped.

The discussion was recorded before Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky met Trump’s envoy Steve Witkoff, who will now see Putin in the Kremlin.

In his mind, Trump is doing “very, very well” by working with Russia. That’s where we are: he is allied with Russia and therefore he is allied with the invasion of Ukraine.

ORIGINAL ENTRY, OCT 19: I joined Ukrainian journalists Daniel Tkiie and Sofia Nazarenko last Thursday to analyze Donald Trump’s betrayal of Ukraine and support of Russia’s 56-month full-scale invasion.

The 26-minute discussion reviews last week’s cutoff of intelligence sharing, following Trump’s agreement to purchase Russian diesel fuel.

I remind viewers of the split within the Trump Administration. Can Ukraine and Europe connect with those still wanting to back their security rather than striking deals with the Kremlin?

I note that, having suspended attacks on Russian refineries for three days amid Trump’s demands, Ukraine has resumed as it chooses not to appease him.
