Six people were killed — three of them children aged 6, 11, and 17 — in the destroyed home in the village of Radushne. Two more children were dug out alive.

A direct hit by a Russian ballistic missile on a private home in Radushne, Dnipropetrovsk region, where a large family lived, killed both parents and their three children: a 6-year-old girl and two boys, aged 11 and 17.

UPDATE 1047 GMT:

Ukraine’s drones have struck yet another logistics hub of Russia’s largest online retailer Wildberries.

The attack set afire a distribution center near Penza, 625 km (388 mi) southeast of Moscow. About 200 workers were evacuated.

Reports are also circulating of a strike on a Wildberries warehouse in Sarapul in the Udmurtia region, more than 1,200 km (746 miles) from the frontline. Another warehouse may have been struck in Perm, more than 1,500 km (932 miles) from the front.

Ukraine’s attacks this month of “Russia’s Amazon” have cost it billions of dollars and forced it to seek assistance from the Government. It has lost more than 10% of logistics capacity and more than 8% of warehouses.

Drones also set afire an oil terminal in the Taman Port in southwest Russia.

UPDATE 1030 GMT:

An object that crashed into a field in eastern Poland overnight is probably a Russian missile, says Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

“All the indications are that it was a Russian Kh-101 [cruise] missile, but we want to be 100% certain about the type of missile and who launched it,” Tusk said at the site of the incident near the village of Tarnawa-Kolonia in the Lublin region.

During Russia’s attacks across Ukraine, air raid sirens sounded in the Lublin region, F-16 fighter jets were scrambled, and an explosion was reported after an “unidentified object” strayed into Polish territory.

UPDATE 1017 GMT:

Trying to repair relations, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky and Polish counterpart Donald Tusk met in Lublin in eastern Poland on Wednesday.

The visit, during Zelensky’s return from the US, was Zelensky’s first to Poland since the backlash over his naming of a serving Ukrainian military unit after the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA).

The UPA collaborated with Nazi Germany and killed around 100,000 Poles between 1943 and 1945.

Polish President Karol Nawrocki revoked the Ukrainian leader’s Order of the White Eagle, Poland’s highest civilian award on June 19.

Zelensky said he and Tusk discussed bilateral ties, historical dialogue, and defense cooperation: “Anti-ballistic defense is the key priority.”

Tusk posted, “President Zelensky informed me about the progress of the talks in Washington. We also discussed the issues of Polish investments in Ukraine, anti-ballistic cooperation, and support for Ukraine in its fight against the Russian aggressor.”

ORIGINAL ENTRY: At least eight civilians have been killed, including two children, and at least 50 injured by Russia’s overnight attacks across Ukraine with 74 ballistic and cruise missiles and 284 drones.

Casualties and damage are reported in the capital Kyiv, Lviv, Kryvyi Rih, and the Dnipro, Poltava, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.

Air defenses intercepted 55 missiles and 265 UAVs.

Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky responded, “This Russian terror proves once again that protection from the Russian missile threat is the most important task for preserving the lives of our people. And this is a task that cannot be only Ukraine, only one country. All partners know how and with what they can help.”

Explosions were heard Kyiv at 1:18 a.m. A second wave started around 3:50 a.m.

Zelensky had warned in his nightly address to the nation on Wednesday:

The Russians prepared a massive attack several days ago, and there is a high probability that the strike will be carried out tonight.

Please, in all regions of Ukraine, pay attention to air raid alerts today and take care of yourselves.
