UPDATE 1305 GMT:

Russia has destroyed a US-owned facility for the first time during the invasion of Ukraine.

The monitor Astra reported an attack on another Wildberries facility in Zelenodolsk in the Tatarstan region.

UPDATE 0559 GMT:

Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky says Russia used a North Korean missile in the attack that killed six members of the same family in the Dnipropetrovsk region early Thursday.

In his nightly video address to the nation, Zelensky said:

The alliance between the Moscow scumbags and the deranged regime in North Korea exists for the sake of missiles, North Korean troops on our borders here in Europe, and killing our Ukrainian children….

I hope that all of our partners – above all our American partners, as well as our friends in Europe – will feel that real human lives depend on whether they help us.

Two officials said it was Russia’s first use of the North Korean missiles in more than a year.

Father Artem Voronov, mother Olena, and four of their children were slain. Two other children were rescued from the rubble of the destroyed house.

ORIGINAL ENTRY: Warsaw is considering the supply of additional Patriot air defense missiles to Ukraine, after a suspected Russian cruise missile crashed into a field in eastern Poland early Thursday.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said at a press conference, at the site of the incident near the village of Tarnawa-Kolonia, “After this incident… we will consider as soon as possible the issue of further assistance to Ukraine, including the transfer of additional missiles for Patriot systems, should such a need arise.”

Russia fired 74 missiles and 284 attack drones across Ukraine in the attack on Thursday. As areas in western Ukraine were targets, air raid sirens sounded in Poland’s Lublin region, F-16 fighter jets were scrambled, and an “unidentified object” blew out a 10-meter crater when it landed.

Tusk said the object was likely a Kh-101 cruise missile.

Hours before the incident, Tusk met Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky to repair relations between the two countries.

The visit, during Zelensky’s return from the US, was Zelensky’s first to Poland since the backlash over his naming of a serving Ukrainian military unit after the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA).

The UPA collaborated with Nazi Germany and killed around 100,000 Poles between 1943 and 1945.

Polish President Karol Nawrocki revoked the Ukrainian leader’s Order of the White Eagle, Poland’s highest civilian award on June 19.

The two leaders discussed bilateral ties, historical dialogue, and defense cooperation. Zelensky said, referring to the Patriots and other systems, “Anti-ballistic defense is the key priority.”
