US Vice President J.D. Vance at the Richard Nixon Library, Yorba Linda, California, June 26, 2026
I joined London’s LBC on Saturday to analyze US Vice President J.D. Vance’s dismissal of corruption and crime in the White House.
Commenting on Watergate and the downfall of President Richard Nixon in 1974, Vance said that the crime and cover-up “would be a 12-hour news story” in today’s social media.
Speaking with host Matthew Wright, I take apart Vance’s motives, trying to bury attention to the current issues of corruption and criminal activity.
“Hey, corruption, hey, abuse of power and the Constitution, so what about it? Because in 12 hours, we’ll be talking about something else.”
And I remind folks that while Nixon was pardoned by his successor Gerald Ford before he could be put on trial, today’s US President is a convicted felon.
