Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky summarized:
It was a Kh-101 missile that struck a residential building in Kyiv, according to preliminary data.

UPDATE 1239 GMT:
French President Emmanuel Macron has joined the criticism of Russia’s latest attacks.
By launching a new massive strike of drones and missiles against Ukrainian cities and civilians — the largest in the past four years — Russia is further compounding the outrage of its aggression.
It lays bare all the hypocrisy with which it negotiated the fragile truce of the past few days.
By bombing civilians, Russia demonstrates less its strength than its weakness: it is running out of solutions on the military front and does not know how to end its war of aggression.
En lançant une nouvelle frappe massive de drones et de missiles contre les villes et les civils ukrainiens – la plus importante de ces quatre dernières années -, la Russie aggrave un peu plus le forfait de son agression.
Elle donne à voir toute l'hypocrisie…

UPDATE 1212 GMT:
Latvia’s Prime Minister Evika Siliņa is resigning after her coalition partners, the Progressives, refused to support her dismissal of the Defense Minister Andris Sprūds over Ukrainian drones — en route to attack targets in Russia — that fell in the country.
One of the drones hit empty fuel storage tanks.
President Edgars Rinkēvičs is planning meetings with leaders of parliamentary parties on Friday, saying “Latvia cannot afford political uncertainty and instability.”
UPDATE 1202 GMT:
Hungary’s new Prime Minister Péter Magyar has challenged Russia’s mass drone attacks on Ukraine near the Hungarian border.
“The Hungarian government strongly condemns the Russian attack on Transcarpathia,” Magyar told journalists. He said Hungarian Foreign Minister Anita Orbán is speaking with the Russian Ambassador on Thursday morning, asking “when Russia and Vladimir Putin plan to finally end this bloody war”.
Magyar triumphed over the pro-Kremlin Viktor Orbán, who ruled for 16 years, in last month’s Parliamentary elections. The new Prime Minister lifted Orbán’s blockade of a €90 billion loan European Union loan funding Ukraine’s military and financial needs through 2027.
Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky responded:
Important message condemning Russia’s attack on Ukraine from @magyarpeterMP. Moscow has once again shown itself to be a common threat not only to Ukraine, but also to neighbouring countries and Europe as a whole. The attack is still ongoing. The first missiles have been launched.…

Slovakia has also condemned the Russian airstrikes. Foreign Minister Juraj Blanár said the attacks “undermine prospects for ending the Russian aggression on Ukraine and “limit the space for peace dialogue”.
He noted that Ukraine’s Zakarpattia region is home to many ethnic Slovaks.
UPDATE 0811 GMT:
Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky has commented on this morning’s Russian mass attacks:
These are definitely not the actions of those who believe the war is coming to an end. It is important that partners do not remain silent about this strike. And it is equally important to continue supporting the protection of our skies. The PURL initiative is needed so that Ukraine can defend itself against ballistic strikes like these. And likewise, in the interests of everyone seeking peace, pressure on Russia must continue.

UPDATE 0632 GMT:
Andrii Yermak, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky’s former Chief of Staff, has been indicted on corruption charges.
On Thursday, after a three-day hearing, the High Anti-Corruption Court placed Yermak in custody for two months and set bail at Hr 140 million ($3.1 million).
Yermak responded, “I don’t have that kind of money for bail. Right now, my lawyer will be working with friends and acquaintances. I deny any accusations. I have nothing to hide, and I will file an appeal.”
If convicted, Yermak could face up to 12 years in jail. Six more defendants have been charged in the case.
Investigators allege that more than Hr 460 million
($8.9 million) was laundered between 2021 and 2025 through the construction of an elite cottage complex in the village of Kozyn, a wealthy enclave south of Kyiv. The funds for the project were generated through the corruption scheme, involving around $100 million in kickbacks, around the state nuclear monopoly Energoatom.
One of the four houses financed through the corruption scheme was allegedly meant for Yermak.

Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky posted about “one of the longest massive Russian attacks against Ukraine”, trying to “spoil the overall political atmosphere” during Donald Trump’s visit to China.
It certainly cannot be called a coincidence that one of the longest massive Russian attacks against Ukraine takes place precisely at the time when the President of the United States arrived for a visit to China – a visit from which much is expected.
