I explore why the destruction of Trump’s second term is already beyond that of his first. I explain why checks and balances are threatened, with Republicans blocking Congress from responding and the courts unable to keep pace with Trump and Musk.

And I make clear that, unless economic reality soon catches up with the White House, this is only the beginning of the pursuit of autocracy.
