I joined Times Radio on Wednesday for a 24-minute VideoCast about Donald Trump’s tariff bluster and about his proposed crime v. humanity: the ethnic cleansing of more than 2.2 million people in Gaza.
I begin by detailing how Trump’s threatened 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico, and how he backed down amid clever manuevers by both Mexican President Claudia Scheinbaum and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
Then I explain why Trump, alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, is pursuing the removal of Gazans for his business and political interests. I note the violation of international humanitarian law and the immediate effect of collapsing talks for a Phase 2 ceasefire over Israel’s 15-month mass killings in Gaza.
What you saw in Washington was one man who is already under an arrest warrant from the International Criminal Court — Benjamin Netanyahu — and another man who put himself in the position, although it won’t happen, of facing an arrest warrant.
