During the Syrian uprising against the Assad regime from March 2011, Israel has regularly struck positions of the regime and its essential supporters, Iran and Lebanon’s Hezbollah.
The strikes have persisted amid the Hamas mass killing inside Israel in October 2023 and Israeli mass killings in Gaza since then. The Israelis have also assassinated a series of Iranian commanders and officials.
