EA on UK Outlets: Trump, Insurrection, and the 2024 GOP Presidential Ballot

In an interview with Monocle Radio’s Emma Nelson on Thursday afternoon, I discussed Donald Trump’s appeal to the US Supreme Court of his disqualification from Colorado’s Republican primary on March 5.

I review Trump’s disqualification from the ballot over his support of insurrection, trying to overturn the 2020 Presidential election before and during the Capitol Attack of January 6, 2021. I look at the process, timing, and likely issues of the appeal, and analyze the legal and political ramifications.

We also take a quick look at the New Hampshire primary on January 23 and whether Nikki Haley can make a significant challenge to the media’s narrative of Trump as presumptive Republican nominee.
