In a 15-minute preview of the week’s international developments, I joined Poland’s TVP World on Monday to analyze the latest in Russia’s invasion of Ukraine; Azerbaijan’s “cleansing” of Armenians from the Nagorno-Karabakh enclave; and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit, including a meeting between US President Joe Biden and Chinese leader Xi Jinping.

It’s important to emphasize — especially with the short attention span of much in the media — that this is a marathon not a sprint, that this war would go well into 2024, and that the F16s are one part of what is needed for Ukraine.
If Ukraine is abandoning offensive operations and planning defensive operations, why is the F-16 needed? NATO’s decision sounds like a political one, not a tactical one.
