I joined talkRADIO’s Claudia Vanderpuije on Saturday to discuss the UK Government’s Coronvirus gamble, lifting all restrictions on July 19 despite the surge in cases from the Delta variant.

Listen from 5:30 in 1700-1730 Segment

We highlight the public health issue while navigating the politics and the spin, including the hindrance of the slogan “Freedom Day”.

This isn’t like we are unfree, as in Nazi Germany, Stalin’s Soviet Union, or North Korea. With freedom comes responsibility, and we are in a public health emergency.

You’re free not to get vaccinated, but you should then be responsible to isolate or socially distance or wear a mask.

Will the approach of the Government, whose mismanagement of the crisis has led to almost 130,000 deaths, shifting emphasis to personal responsibility be productive? Or will it usher in another damaging wave of the pandemic?

The Government still does not have an effective test, trace, and track system, more than a year after the start of the pandemic….

The second big problem is that there is still a core of people who will refused to get vaccinated.

On the eve of the European Cup football final between England and Italy, we also discuss how UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson — trying to distract not only from the pandemic but also Cabinet scandals and the economic damage of Brexit — is wrapping himself in the English flag.
