I joined Monocle 24’s Andrew Mueller on Friday to discuss the fight for voting rights in the US, as Republican-controlled legislatures try to restrict access to the ballot box.

We focus on the situation in Georgia. The GOP pushed through a bill last week sharply curbing rights, to the point of making a crime of any provision of food or water to waiting voters. President Biden derided the measure as a return to “Jim Crow” laws blocking Black Americans from the polls in the South.

What are the prospects for Georgia and for the nation?
