President Joe Biden confirms that every US adult is now eligible for a Coronavirus vaccine.

In a short video on Monday, Biden urged all Americans to get the jabs.

Folks, I have good news. Everybody is eligible, as of today, to get the vaccine. We have enough of it; you need to be protected, and you need, in turn, to protect your neighbors and your family. So please, get the vaccine.

On Sunday, Dr. Anthony Fauci, the White House’s top Coronavirus advisor, expressed concern as up to 45% of Republicans said in a survey that they would not receive the vaccine. He said GOP politicians, under cover of talking about “civil liberties”, are “working against” efforts to deal with the pandemic, save lives, and lift restrictions.

The US passed the first-dose vaccination of 50% of all adults on Sunday. Almost 130 million people above age 18 have received an initial dose. Almost 84 million adults, about 32.5% of the population, are fully vaccinated.

The US has recorded 567,557 deaths and 31,717,631 confirmed cases.

The daily death rate has fallen more than 80% since Biden took office on January 20, with 453 recorded on Monday. Cases had dropped by about 75%, but have edged upwards this month as some states loosen Coronavirus measures.
