EA on TRT World: Russia and Iran Interference in US Election

I spoke with Turkey’s TRT World on Thursday about the assessment of US intelligence services that both Russia and Iran are interfering in the 2020 US election.

I consider the motives of Moscow and Tehran, going beyond support for either Donald Trump or Democratic Presidential candidate Joe Biden.

The Russian game for years has not been specifically, “We want Donald Trump as President”. It’s weakening the American system where people don’t trust it, where they are confused what is going on.
And to an extent, the Iranians looking for that as well. If you cannot trust your basic systems and institutions as a citizen, what are you left within in your day-to-day life, let along an election?
