After I saw the video of the murder of George Floyd, I thought, “This could have been me.”
What’s different on this occasion is that people from white groups and other ethnic groups are coming out on behalf of Black people and saying, “No”….
Racism is here. Power based in racism is here. If we’re going to address it we need to take a long, hard look at ourselves, at our institutions and the way that we relate to each other fundamentally.
