I joined Austria’s Radio FM4 on Monday to discuss the “Defund the Police” call of US marches after the murder of George Floyd.
I discuss how cities are already considering the conversion of police forces to community safety organizations, and an emphasis on funding social programs.
We’re talking of a shift in emphasis from confrontation to police-community cooperation which has to be part of wider issues, such as the judicial system, health, education, and housing.
