PHOTO: Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton — “Logically, the Democrats are in the stronger campaign but this may not be a logical election”

As nominees Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton move from their conventions to the US Presidential campaign for November’s election, I spoke with UCB Radio about the candidates and their approaches.

The immediate contrast is between a “negative” campaign of Trump — “things are really, really bad, things are terrible, you need me to rescue you” — and the Democrats’ much more “positive” assessment of “We’re all Americans, we’re all in this together, we have our issues but we can overcome them”.

That was not the theme of Trump v. Clinton. That was the distinction between the two conventions.
