PHOTO: Victims of a claimed chlorine attack on Aleppo city by regime warplanes on Wednesday
On Thursday, I appeared on the Pat Kenny Show on Dublin’s NewsTalk for a long, wide-ranging discussion of the situation in Aleppo.
Beginning with the call of doctors for a halt to Russian-regime airstrikes, we considered the possibility of a ceasefire — close to non-existent amid Russia’s incessant propaganda and the aerial attacks, including the use of chlorine.
At the same, I noted how the Russian-regime plans, joined by Iran and Hezbollah, are having to be reconsidered following the rebel offensive that has taken territory and broken the month-long pro-Assad siege of Aleppo city.
