LATEST: Syrian Insurgents Take Control of Iraqi Border Crossing
The Local Coordination Committees report that 102 people died across Syria on Monday, as the regime carried out airstrikes across the country.
Of the deaths, 40 were in Aleppo Province, 20 in Idlib Province, 18 in Damascus and its suburbs, and 13 in Homs Province.
The single deadliest incident was in the Sukary area of Aleppo city, where two barrel bombs on a market killed more than 20 people.

Syrian Insurgents Take Control of Iraqi Border Crossing
Syrian insurgents from the Free Syrian Army and the Islamist faction Jabhat al-Nusra have taken control of the Iraqi side of the border crossing at Al-Qaim, police and army officers said.

Having dislodged regime forces from most of the province, insurgents have been fighting the Islamic State of Iraq and as-Sham since January.

Regime Proclaims Return of Civilians to Kassab in Latakia Province
The Assad regime has proclaimed the return of 250 families to Kassab in northern Latakia Province, after reclaiming the town last weekend.
Insurgents took Kassab and surrounding villages in an offensive near the Turkish border in March.
The Governor of Latakia Province toured the town and said that basic services would be restored within three days.
