Islamic State of Iraq Issue New Statement On Fighting In Azaz, Aleppo Province

The Islamic State of Iraq and Ash Sham on Saturday issued a new statement regarding its clashes with the Free Syrian Army’s Northern Storm Brigade in the border town of Azaz, in Aleppo Province:

(The statement is taken from a Russian translation, which we have translated into English.)

Allah has favored the Mujahideen of the Islamic State (of Iraq and Ash Sham) and made it easy for them to eliminate the last stronghold of criminals from the so-called “Northern Storm” in Azaz and the surrounding area.

By the grace of Allah, they were driven out and every point, every checkpoint and every camp where they were located, has been cleansed.

They were not helped by their union, which they made with puppets of the PKK (the Communist Kurdistan Workers Party), with the Alawite regime an with Western intelligence agencies, which encourage them to fight against the Mujahideen.

There is an important fact, which we would like to report here: indeed, the Islamic State did not attack these wrongdoers before they spread harm and oppression, before they started to abuse their power against Muslims and their honor, before they started to implement their agreements with the U.S. and its allies to hit the Mujahideen, spy on them and eliminate their emirs.

This is what it is known by the Islamic State. After they went to war against ISIS, people saw with their own eyes, as they captured two Mujahideen in Azaz and handed them over to a dirty spy.

It is obvious to all their alliance with the apostates of the PKK and the Assad regime in the war against the Islamic State.

They do not even hesitate blown market in Azazm fired its rockets and mortars areas, after the situation got out of control .

Allah made them machinations against them, and they ate what their hands have. Allah help the Mujahideen against them in these blessed days of Dhu al-Hijjah , after they were left without the help of those who encouraged them to speak out against the Mujahideen.

Raqqa Citizen Journalists Slam ISIS Confiscation Of Radio Broadcast Equipment

Citizen journalists from the Raqqa-based Radio ANA on Saturday slammed the Islamic State of Iraq and Ash Sham for cracking down on local media, accusing the Islamist faction of breaking into their radio studio and confiscating equipment.

“on the 15th of October a group of masked men broke into ANA’s media office in Raqqa and confiscated all its contents including ANA’s equipment and data. When asked about their identity, the masked men revealed to be elements of the “Islamic State of Iraq and Syria” (ISIS) and that they were carrying out a task ordered by the ISIS leadership,” the journalist said in a statement on Radio ANA’s Facebook page.

The Radio ANA journalists also accused ISIS of the October 1 kidnapping of Raqqa media activist Rami Al Razzouk. Radio ANA say that Razzouk was taken captive at an ISIS-controlled checkpoint between Raqqa and Tabaqa, and that they have had no word since either from Razzouk or those who took him captive. The reason for Razzouk’s kidnapping remain unclear, the journalists said.

Sunday Summary

Saturday was a relatively quiet day in Syria’s 31-month conflict.

But only relatively.

The Local Coordination Committees claim that 53 people were killed, including 24 in Damascus and its suburbs and 16 in Aleppo Province.

Many of those deaths were from airstrikes and shelling. In Aleppo Province, the regime attacked the insurgent-held area of Al-Bab.

And once again, the Syrian military pounded the Damascus suburb of Moadamiyyat Ash Sham, where civilians are struggling to eat after almost a year of regime blockade of food and supplies.
