Amid the offensive to retake the Iraqi city of Mosul from the Islamic State and the squeeze on ISIS in its Syrian center of Raqqa, I chatted with Malaysia’s BFM Radio last week about the prospects for the group.

The discussion emphasizes that, even if ISIS loses its last two major cities, this will not be the end of the political and military challenge. It also considers the specific short-term challenges of completing the capture of Mosul and launching the assault on Raqqa.
