EA-Times Radio VideoCast: “Kremlin Can’t Cope” If Ukraine Escalates Strikes Inside Russia
I joined Ukrainian journalist Daniel Tkiie on Tuesday for a 25-minute chat about a Kremlin threat that betrays concern over its invasion of Ukraine.
We discuss Russia’s warning that it will destroy Kyiv, trying to intimidate civilians and to get foreign countries to remove their diplomats.
I explain that the primary motive is not Vladimir Putin’s view of the Trump Administration’s position. Instead, it is the Kremlin’s response to stalled frontlines, the failure of its aerial attacks to break resistance, and Ukraine’s counter-attacks inside Russia.
However, I note that Putin’s last resort to seize territory and keep Ukraine weak is still manipulation of the Trumpists.
The Kremlin is going to go back to Trump once again and think that maybe this time they can get him to say that Ukraine should surrender more territory.
We also discuss China’s hosting of both Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, asserting Beijing’s political and economic strengths, and the Trump camp’s failing war on Iran.
