EA-Ukraine VideoCast: Kyiv’s Pressure on Russia

I joined Times Radio’s Kate Gerbeau on Thursday to examine the economic pressure on the Kremlin as it lies about the cost of its full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

I begin with an examination of the official v. real situation of Russia’s inflation, Government budget deficit, and GDP. I set that in the context of declining oil revenues, in part because of escalating Ukrainian strikes on Russian refineries, oil terminals, and ports.

I contrast this with Ukraine’s “survival” after Russia’s missile and drone strikes tried to break civilians and energy infrastructure, and how Kyiv — with the backing of Europe — is moving from “resistance to strength”.

And I answer Kate’s question, “Can Ukraine succeed without US help?”
