EA-Times Radio VideoCast: War on Iran — Trump’s Lies, Betrayal, and Choice of Putin Over US Troops
EA on TVP World: Trump Sells Out Ukraine for His War on Iran
I joined Times Radio’s Louis Sykes on Monday for a 28-minute analysis of a Russian invasion of Ukraine stalled both on the battlefield and at the negotiating table.
I explain that the Kremlin is getting a “breathing space” because of the suspension of American sanctions during the US-Israel War on Iran. However, the Ukrainians have regained territory, and Russia failed over the winter to break Ukraine with mass missile and drone attacks.
The immediate threat of blacking out Ukraine seems to have gone as we have moved into warmer weather and the Ukrainians have repaired the grid damage.
So if the Russians can’t win there and if they lost more territory than they gained in February and if they are not advancing on the frontlines, where do they go next?
I don’t think the Kremlin knows.
Meanwhile, Kyiv and its European backers are holding out against the Kremlin’s efforts to manipulate Donald Trump and his envoys into forcing a Ukrainian surrender of territory and no security guarantees.
That leaves the economic front where the Kremlin, as it enjoys a boost in oil revenues, is hoping that its ally, Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, will block essential support for Ukraine’s military and finances.
