EA on International Media: US-Israel War on Iran — Trump and Co. Ramble On with No Plan B
EA-Irish Examiner Podcast: Trump Does Not Know How to End His “Uncontained War” with Iran
I joined Times Radio’s Maddie Hale on Saturday to analyze Donald Trump’s latest actions in the US-Israel War on Iran: lies about the state of the American assault and Iran’s retaliation; betrayal of Ukraine; and acceptance of Russia giving targeting information to the Iranians about US warplanes, warships, and troop positions.
I begin the 38-minute deep dive by discussing the possibility of the US seizing Kharg Island, the hub for more than 90% of Iran’s oil exports. I contrast Trump’s bravado with the failure of the Administration to prepare for Iran’s response, from attacks on Gulf States to the closure of the Straits of Hormuz.
In short, “the Trump camp do not have a Plan B at this point”.
I explain how with that lack of a Plan B, Trump assailed Ukraine over its defense against Russia’s invasion — and then endorsed Vladimir Putin’s support of the Iranian counter-attacks on American troops.
How Israel is censoring reporting on the war: https://www.972mag.com/israel-media-censorship-iran-war/
“Since the start of the war with Iran, the Israeli military has imposed strict censorship regulations on local and international media outlets operating inside the country, severely impeding journalists’ ability to cover the situation on the ground. Reporters and networks are prohibited from publishing the precise location of Iranian missile impacts, or even filming or photographing the extent of the damage in a way that could give away the location — restrictions designed, in the words of the army’s chief censor Col. Netanel Kula, “to prevent assistance to the enemy during wartime.”
About Kharg island (for which an alternative loading site exists at Jask on the mainland). The marines would likely never be sent there (deep into the Persian Gulf) as it means their ship would have to pass through the Straits of Hormuz where they would be attacked – that is why the US Navy does not want to risk venturing. If they want to seize Kharg, then smaller numbers of paratroopers or special forces would have to be sent.
Btw, the marine ships are about 2-3 weeks away from the Persian Gulf and Trump cannot use them yet.
First, Jask is in Gulf of Oman not “deep into Persian Gulf”. You Ediot!
Second, Jask is a small general trading port, not an oil depot, You EDIOT, again.
Third, being in Gulf of Oman it is even more exposed to the US attacks than Khark is.
Go back to your “kitchen pot lid covid detector project”, you’ll have more success there.
That was mean
FCC chair threatens to throttle news broadcasts: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/mar/14/fcc-broadcast-permits-iran-war-news
“Brendan Carr posts that he may cancel spectrum permits of ‘mainstream news’ outlets for ‘misleading’ coverage.”
Neither did Israel plan ahead: Israel is running critically low on interceptors, US officials say: https://www.semafor.com/article/03/14/2026/israel-is-running-critically-low-on-interceptors-us-officials-say
“Israel informed the US this week that it is running critically low on ballistic missile interceptors as the conflict with Iran rages on, US officials told Semafor. Israel had reportedly entered the current war already low on interceptors that were fired during last summer’s conflict with Iran. Israel’s long-range defense system has strained under Iran’s attacks; CNN reported that Iran was adding cluster munitions to its missiles, which may exacerbate the depletion of the stock.”
How does Trump expect the world to help him when he says he is going to bomb drag island again just for fun.
