I joined Dublin NewsTalk on Tuesday to discuss the invitation to Barack Obama to receive the Freedom of the City during his visit to Dublin in September.

I explain why, despite my disagreement with Obama over aspects of his foreign policy and operations, I support the award.

Would I go back to 2009 and get that hope and change and that prospect of an America where there was dialogue rather than division?

Absolutely.
