EA on International Media: Historic US Elections? Let’s Hope So

EA-Trump Report VideoCast: US Elections — A Victory for Decency, A Victory for Recovery

I joined DW News on Thursday afternoon to analyze the meltdown in the Trump camp after overwhelming Democrat triumphs in Tuesday’s US midterm elections.

I take apart Donald Trump’s attempt to blame anyone but himself for the defeat. I evaluate how J.D. Vance has begun his detachment from Trump, citing the failing Iran War, as the Vice President tries to save his 2028 Presidential campaign. I ask if Secretary of State Marco Rubio will jump ship for his own run for the White House, and look at others like Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

I ponder if Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s days might be numbered, amid his purges of the military, his role in the Iran War, and the possibility of impeachment in the New Year.

And I consider Republicans in Congress. Will they be able to rebuild a party fragmented by Trump’s takeover? And will they try to work with Democrats to repair the US?
