More than 1,500 people have been killed in Gaza since a declared ceasefire in October 2025.

Gaza’s Health Ministry reported three new fatalities on Wednesday, including two Palestinians who died from injuries sustained in earlier Israeli attacks, bringing the total to 1,501. The number of injured reached 5,323 with 17 wounded in the past 24 hours.

Israel has expanded its area of occupation from 53% last October to almost 70%. It is refusing to allow the initial construction project of the “Board of Peace” declared by Donald Trump, a military outpost.

In early August, the Board announced that the Louisiana-based Arkel International would construct the outpost for 150 international troops, the vanguard of the International Stabilization Force.

“A person with direct knowledge of the matter” said the Israelis are not allowing contractors and trucks to cross into Gaza.

The source said the Israeli refusal effectively blocks reconstruction in Gaza, following the displacement of around 90% of the population — about 2 million people — by two years of Israeli attacks up to October 2025.

You can’t get in without [the ISF]. You can’t rebuild. There’s no security. There’s no deliveries of construction equipment. You can’t even start putting utilities. You can’t start putting in basic life-support facilities you know because without the ISF you can’t go in.
