EA on International Media: Trump “TACOs” Over US Strikes on Iran
In our latest 57-minute “That Was the Week That Was (in TrumpLand), Times Radio’s Maddie Hale and I take apart the failing, grifting, crying, and shouting of the Trump camp — but find some bright spots from Canada to “positive” politics in the US.
We begin with the Iran regime, having survived the US-Israel war, maneuvering into a better position with a possible deal alongside Oman on the Strait of Hormuz. I explain how the Trump camp, with its military options collapsing, may have to accept the agreement while agreeing to billions of dollars going to the Iranians and a continuation of uranium enrichment inside the country.
Maddie asks me about Trump’s Ego Follies from the White House ballroom to the non-reflecting Reflecting Pool to the Giant Arch. I respond with some choice words about a “grifter gonna grift”.
It’s Elbows Up as we smile at Trump’s whining about Canada. There is a chuckle at Trump shouting at Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and wannabe macho man Pete immediately trying to blame his deputy.
I close with a message to the media and commentators over coverage of US politics, using the victory of Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan’s Democratic primary for the US Senate. Cover the candidates and the issues and stop playing into Trump’s gnarly hands with a superficial focus on “center” v. “progressive”.
