I rejoined Pakistan TV on Thursday to continue the assessment of the Trump’s camp economic warfare as it avoids talks to end its War on Iran.
I assess the chances of success for the Trumpists or, alternatively, their hope just to get to November’s mid-term elections and then to reassess their options.
And I consider if Iran and Oman can push back with an agreement on management of the Strait of Hormuz, supported by the mediators Pakistan and Qatar.

Without making any predictions, I note the challenges for the Trumpists as they reject both all-out military operations and a return to negotiations. While Iran has long-standing economic problems and has suffered more than $300 billion in damage from the war, are Iranians willing to surrender their country to Trumpist demands?

ORIGINAL ENTRY, AUG 24: I joined Pakistan TV on Sunday to evaluate how the Trump camp, unable to defeat Iran’s regime militarily, is pursuing economic warfare in a possible last chance for “victory” in its war.
I outline the Trumpist approach and assess its chances of success as Iran, despite economic problems and more than $300 billion in damage, continues to hold out.
I also examine when the Trump camp will return to negotiations if its “Economic D-Day” fails.
