EA on TVP World: Is Trump Camp Swinging Towards Support of Ukraine v. Russia’s Invasion?
In our hour-long That Was The Week That Was (In TrumpLand), Times Radio’s Maddie Hale and I take apart another chaotic and damaging seven days for the Trump camp.
We begin with the sudden announcement of US agreement to uranium enrichment for a Saudi nuclear program, exploring why the Trump camp had to make a gesture amid Riyadh’s anger over the botched war on Iran. While details are vague, we look at the consequences if the deal is implemented — or if it soon falls apart.
We examine other aspects of the failing war on Iran, as the Memorandum of Understanding bites the dust, the US expands bombing without a clear objective, and Iran carries out damaging retaliation.
My weekly rant is about Trump’s insult of four US troops killed by that retaliation last week.
And we conclude with Pete Hegseth’s firing of military chaplains, a reflection both of his distorted view of Christianity and his antipathy to women in positions of power.
