EA-Times Radio VideoCast: “Trump Is Batshit Crazy”
I joined the Erich McElroy VideoCast last Thursday for a 45-minute deep dive “to kick some ass and take some names” over Donald Trump’s threat to US democracy and to the world.
We discuss Trump’s “batshit” craziness and corruption. However, we go beyond Donald to highlight how others are complicit in the destruction of civil rights, including the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
We should not be at this point. The Supreme Court gutted one of the major pieces of civil rights legislation.
I grew up in the 1960s in Alabama. I know this history damn well.
Why did we need the Voting Rights Act? Because for decades the system was rigged against Black people to make sure their votes didn’t count.
We also look abroad, from the Trump Administration’s floundering War on Iran to Ukraine’s successful resistance — without Trump’s help — against Russia’s invasion.
