EA on DW News and Sky News: Epstein Files — Trump Camp’s Latest Cover-Up and Diversion
I joined Dublin NewsTalk’s Pat Kenny Show for a 26-minute special analyzing Donald Trump’s year of destruction in the US.
The other panellists are Gina Loudon, the former CNN White correspondent, and Larry Donnelly of the University of Galway.
We begin with Trump’s flurry of Executive Orders on Inauguration Day. We continue with the chainsaw damage of Elon Musk’s Department of “Government Efficiency” and the deadly abolition of the US Agency for International Development. We take on the Trumpist mix of xenophobia, racism, and authoritarianism threatening millions of immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers.
And we reach today from the White Nationalism not only of Trump but of more dangerous officials like J.D. Vance and Stephen Miller, and of the combination of economic problems and the Jeffrey Epstein case.
After all of this destruction and malice, what is there to say?
Well, reports of the demise of the Democrats are greatly exaggerated, Gina and I point out. And there are many good Americans who don’t want to take this path of authoritarian carnage.
